Jason Hutton is the Founder and Chief Editor of Timepiece World Journal, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A lifelong watch enthusiast, he has built a career around connecting people and fostering communities within the world of horology. In addition to leading Timepiece World Journal, Jason is the founder and producer of the Timepiece Show Series, including the Toronto Timepiece Show, which has become a globally recognized annual gathering for the independent watch community. He is also the founder of his own watch brand and is involved in several other entrepreneurial ventures within the watch industry.
Matt Black
Matt Black is Senior Director, Content at Timepiece World Journal, where he helps shape the publication’s editorial direction and tell the stories of the people, ideas and experiences behind the watches.A communications and marketing leader with more than 15 years of experience, Matt has developed strategies and stories for organizations spanning professional sports, technology and media, aviation, professional services and law.  His interest in watches is rooted not only in their design and mechanics, but in the personal journeys, creative risks and enduring relationships that bring them to life. That people-first perspective sits at the heart of his work with Timepiece World Journal.Matt also runs Matt Black Ink, a copywriting and storytelling studio that helps watch brands and their founders articulate what makes their work worth wearing, sharing and collecting.

Nabil Amdan is a watch journalist and editor based in Toronto. His writing moves beyond specifications and superlatives, using individual watches and brands as entry points into broader conversations about market dynamics, collector psychology, and the cultural forces shaping how people buy, value and engage with watches. He is the founder and editor of Chrono Chronicles, Newsletter Editor at Hairspring, and a contributor to Unpolished Watches. His work focuses on long-form features, interviews, historical research, and collector-focused guides that examine watchmaking through the lenses of design, craftsmanship and culture.
Zahra Hemraj
Zahra Hemraj is a Toronto-based luxury marketing and communications professional and watch and jewellery writer whose international career spans fashion, art and horology. Her work with Kering, Christie’s and Citizen Watch Canada has taken her across New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai and Hong Kong. She holds an MBA in Global Luxury Brand Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris.She shares her love of watches and jewellery on Instagram at @torontowatchgirl

Ryan Lynds is a vintage watch enthusiast, educator, amateur historian, and the founder of Little King Watches, based in Georgetown, Ontario. His passion for horology centres on the function, design, craftsmanship, and history of vintage timepieces.Vintage watches have given Ryan a way to bring together two lifelong passions: watches and history. He feels fortunate to research the stories behind the watches he loves so much and to remain connected to the past through them. Beyond their beauty and mechanical ingenuity, vintage timepieces offer valuable insights into the societies that created and wore them. Their history, design, complications, and functions can all reveal something about the era in which they were made, from changing technology to the ways people worked, travelled, communicated, and understood the world around them.Through Little King Watches, Ryan shares his enthusiasm for these horological time capsules, exploring not only how vintage watches work, but also what they can teach us about the people and societies that shaped them.

An award-winning author and skilled photographer, he approaches horology through the lens of a lifelong educator—prioritizing context, culture, and narrative.A published novelist and widely anthologized writer, with credits and contributions in Fratello, Verge, The Watch Annual and ELLE Canada among others, Brent brings the energy of an enthusiast and his acumen as a storyteller to the world of watch journalism.
